About us.

I am Martina Adams, the proud founder and owner of Healing Paws Therapy.

At Healing Paws Therapy, our journey began when I decided to follow a new path after being made redundant from my office job. I knew I wanted to make a positive difference in people's lives, and that's when I realised how special the bond between dogs and humans can be.

Enter Lolly – our incredible Golden Retriever. Born on July 10th, 2023, Lolly has been a beacon of joy, patience, and love from day one. I knew she had something special about her, and after spending time with her, it became clear that together, we could create something truly meaningful through animal assisted therapy.

Martina - owner of Healing Paws Therapy, with Lolly

Our mission at Healing Paws Therapy is simple: to bring comfort, joy, and emotional support to children, the elderly, and anyone in need of a furry companion. Lolly’s playful, kind nature makes her the perfect therapy dog. She loves playing with her favorite toy, a ball, and adores kids. But what stands out most is her gentle patience and her ability to make everyone feel seen and heard.

Lolly and I have worked tirelessly to prepare for this journey, and in January 2025, Lolly passed her dog therapy assessment with flying colors! Now, we’re ready to share her warmth with the world.

Find out about the range of services we offer and reach out to arrange a friendly chat with me so we can discuss how Lolly can best support yours or your loved-ones needs.

We can’t wait to share Lolly’s love and support with as many people as possible!

Our Services

At Healing Paws Therapy, we offer a range of services to help bring comfort, joy, and companionship to as many people as possible. Lolly loves spending time with children, helping boost their confidence through reading sessions, where they can read aloud to her. We also focus on "The Zones of Regulation," a framework that helps children understand and manage their emotions. Whether they’re feeling happy or sad, Lolly is there to support them and brighten their day.

But our services go beyond just children. Lolly loves visiting hospitals and care homes, offering a comforting presence to those who need it most. Whether it's offering companionship to the elderly or providing emotional support to patients in a hospital, Lolly is always there to spread warmth and love. We also offer the opportunity for elderly individuals or people with disabilities to borrow Lolly for walks in the park, giving them the chance to enjoy her calming presence in their daily lives.

Find out more about our range of services below and reach out for a no-obligation conversation with me to discuss how Lolly can help your needs.
